If an unauthorized person joins your V.connct meeting, it’s important to address the situation quickly to maintain security and control over the meeting. Here’s how you can handle and prevent unauthorized access.
Steps to Remove Unauthorized Participants:
1) Open the Participants Panel
2) Identify the Unauthorized Participant
3) Remove the Participant
4) Enable Waiting Room
- In the meeting controls at the bottom of your V.connct screen, click on the Participants icon to view a list of everyone in the meeting.
2) Identify the Unauthorized Participant
- Look through the participants list to identify any names or profiles you don’t recognize. This will help you confirm if someone has joined without permission.
3) Remove the Participant
- Select the unauthorized participant’s name, then click Remove or Eject to immediately remove them from the meeting.
- Note: Once removed, the person will no longer have access to the meeting link or rejoin the session unless you invite them back.
4) Enable Waiting Room
- Activating the Waiting Room feature allows you to screen participants before they enter the meeting. As the host, you’ll be notified when someone joins, and you can admit or deny access as needed.
